Program Overview A worldwide leader in promoting family literacy, The National Center for Family Literacy (NCFL) creates educational and economic opportunity for America's most at-risk children and their parents. Since 1991, Toyota has committed more than $35 million to help the NCFL establish model programs throughout the country. The unique partnership has resulted in the development of the Toyota Family Literacy Program (TFLP), a literacy initiative focused on Hispanic families. Today, TFLP programs developed through this partnership account for more than 226 family literacy sites in 43 cities and 27 states.
